We made the requisite fall trip to the patch yesterday. The girls had so much fun! You'll have to excuse my blotchy redness in the photos above... had a facial yesterday and my skin had not quite recovered (thus no make-up...). Despite looking like I got beat with the ugly stick, I also had fun. Crazy how little outings like this can be just as much fun as an adult as they were when I was a kid! Rylee kept running out into the patch and bringing back pumpkin after pumpkin, each of which she would dump into our yellow wagon, and then she'd immediately run back out to select another. Kam, who sat in the cart most of the time (actually, stood in the cart - little stinker would NOT stay on her bottom!) was amazed by each new addition, and protested loudly every time I removed one (which was more often than not, as Rylee tended to select slightly misshapen, or even mushy pumpkins). I tried to take Kam out into the patch, but she whined to get back in the wagon- she thought it was pretty cool to have Daddy pull her around. Both girls were especially impressed by the small pumpkins, which Kambrie tried to eat, and which Rylee came home and painted immediately (oooh, how she loves to do anything messy!). Our new Aunt Sarah came along with us, much to the girls' delight. They definitely dote on her!
